The visual language for a network of two traits: information and broadcasting.
China’s CCTV13 is the main news broadcaster of the network, which makes it one of the news channels with the largest target audiences in the world. Each day Chinese people are being notified about what’s happening in China and the world via the programs of the channel.
CCTV’s vision is to be a world-wide role model broadcaster in every aspect, and news has a vital value in terms of this vision. Supplying a whole nation with global news of adequate quality is a serious challenge. For besting this challenge, a gigantic information network is an indispensable tool.
The first creative phase was to determine the carrying concept that’d link the diverse elements of a total TV branding package. As the conclusion of ideation phase and meetings with CCTV, we started building upon the notion of network, which interconnects broadcasting and information. The TV station was collecting information from all around the world as well as providing information to the global news community. Each day, this illuminous two-way traffic in the information super highway enlightens the Chinese people about the global agenda. And in the very core of this mega, lies the landmark headquarters of CCTV as the main hub.
The motion design was focusing on offering a high-tech look and putting emphasis on grandiose of such information traffic. In accordance with the nature of a news channel, the graphics design talks in a clear and lean language. The versatile network and light particles concept enables various different applications for the brand package elements in a rich and elegant way. And in the light of the network leadership’s insights and a detailed development process, we have finalized the visual system that narrates CCTV 13, just as the narrates the global developments for its vast audience.
